Coloring Easter Eggs

Coloring Easter Eggs
It is always a family tradition to color eggs, but because I am so tired lately we almost didn't do it. Andrew picked out the kit and bought the eggs. It was one of the funnest times we have had in a while. The kids loved it as you can see.
I had to take the eggs from Hailey, she thought it was so fun to throw an egg in a cup with dye. I think out of the 18 eggs, she did 10 herself!

The colors really worked great and came out bright and pretty.

There goes another one!

Such cute kids waiting for their turn.

The finished product. Something we will always do, even if sometimes we don't want too.

"Buddy Time"

Buddy Time
Last Saturday, Andrew took Brian up Little Cottonwood Canyon to enjoy the first day of Spring and nice weather. They started out with coats and ended up carrying them the day was so beautiful.
They were watching some snowboarders come zipping down the mountain and Brain said to Andrew, "Dad, look a goat!" Andrew kindly brushed him off and said wow buddy. Brian said 'Dad, look there's a goat." This time Andrew paid a little more attention and realized it was a MOOSE! He said to Brian, "Wow, Brian, that's a moose!" They got back down to the car and asked the snowboarders if they had seen it, they replied, No. Little did they know, they were only about 15 ft. from running over it coming down the mountain.
Brian taking a great shot of his dad.
My two special MEN.
The snow is still so packed up there, Brian is standing by the top railing of the bridge across the water.

They had a great day! Buddy time, bring it on. While they were out having a good time, I took the girl's shopping for a new Easter Dress. We decided, we need to do this more often.

Courtney's Nine!

Courtney's Nine!
3-3-10 Courtney is one of those kids that is happy all the time and never really asks for anything. She really only told me one thing she wanted for her birthday, which was an I dog. Something she could plug her i pod shuffle into and use as speakers. Needless to say, after 3 stores and calling around, Target had a couple, but not the one she wanted. But she was so happy to have gotten one, she didn't care.
Andrew took the day off, and we dropped a birthday treat off for her at her class. Later, we went back over to the school and had lunch in the cafeteria with all the girls. It was a fun day. When school got out, she had more presents, chicken leg dinner and yummy homemade chocolate cake.

Alyssa's First grade program
The theme for the program was Families. It began and Andrew hadn't gotten to the school yet. I could see the panic look on Alyssa's face and then the tears came. She sat there for about 1 minute crying and walked off the stage. (she was on the front row by the way) Her teacher walked over to her and I ran up front and told her I had just got off the phone with Andrew and he would be there in 2 minutes. She went back on stage, but didn't start singing until Dad walked through the door and everything was perfect. She sang her heart out and did her line perfect. Grandma Jones came to watch and hear her song on grandparents. It was a great show!

28 weeks Prego.

28 Weeks Prego
One night the baby was kicking so much you could see my whole stomach moving. I love that the kids want to feel and see and be part of this pregnancy, I think it makes it more real for them then to have us say, a baby will be here soon! It is a fun part about being the mom, is feeling the growth of the baby, that is the part about not being pregnant again that I will miss.

We went to the doctor this past week, and our little guy is growing like a weed.
He is weighing now at 2 1/2 lbs. and is 3 days a head of his due date. Needless to say, I feel like I will deliver him early like all the others. We are so grateful he is healthy and know that Heavenly Father has answered many prayers we have offered on his behalf. We love this little guy already and can't wait for him to join our family.

Visit to the ER

Thursday morning I woke up feeling a little queezy, so I kinda took it easy. Brian went to preschool and I told the kids if they practiced piano and helped clean up a bit we would go to see Planet 51. Well, turns out I picked up the boys from preschool and threw up the rest of the day. I was so sick. Aimee was such a big helper and took care of the kids getting them lunch and entertaining them while I was busy in the bathroom. Needless to say, Andrew came home early from work and felt he needed to get me in to Labor and Delivery.

Richelle met us there. I started going into the hospital and couldn't even walk 10 ft. before I started throwing up in the flower bed right in front of the glass doors. I was calling for Andrew, but he couldn't hear me. A sweet nurse on her way out going home stopped and asked if I needed help. All I could do was nod. She came back out with another nurse and a wheelchair and took me in while Andrew parked the truck.

They told me because I was under 22 weeks we had to go to the ER, because they don't feel the baby is a threat and because they are so busy at Labor and Delivery they have to direct traffic to somewhere else. Needless to say, they got me right in. They started me on a bag of IV fluids and gave me Zofran- the meds they give to cancer patients.

They asked the Labor and Delievery doctor what else I needed. They started me on 2 more bags of IV's and brought me a sack lunch to see if maybe eating would take away the nauseousness. I ate half a cracker and threw up. Andrew was hungry I told him I ordered room service for him and he ate every bite, poor thing was starving.

At 11:15 P.M. after being there since 6:00 we went to Richelle's to get the kids. They were worried and still up, if you can believe it. They sent me home with some throw up bags and a prescription for more Zofran. Jim and Andrew gave me a blessing, the kids got in the truck and home we went.

Andrew had to go to Walgreen's to get my medicine, and Aimee helped put the kids down. She is such a life saver. I was throwing up, Andrew was getting my medicine and she was cleaning the house at 1:00 in the morning. We were all exhausted. I am so grateful Andrew took me in. I am feeling a lot better, just low on energy. Man I was sick.

Isn't he so cute! He is grabbing his toes above his head.
We are sooo excited he is coming to our family.

There is the little guys arm and face.

His profile and spine. He was asleep when we first started, then he wouldn't cooperate very well, he is one busy kid!
