The months following our engagement were exciting and full of new surprises. I had never met Andrew's parent's until one month before we got married. They moved out from Maryland to be closer to their children and ended up in West Jordan, Utah.
My Mom and Sister's gave us a wedding shower and we received a lot of nice stuff. We did a count down starting at our engagement until our wedding day.
Andrew would give me cute gifts like 3 red roses when it was 3 weeks left and do special things for me all the time. Our wedding pictures were taken at Kiddie Kandids on Valentine's Day and my mom helped design our wedding announcement. From picking out a wedding dress to flowers and cake it was a time I will never forget.
The morning of the wedding I woke up at 5:00 AM to go get my hair done and got lost finding my friends house. I cried until I found her house and had to reapply my make-up. She did a fabulous job on my hair and I was so excited about how pretty I looked. I went and picked Andrew up after and we drove to the Salt Lake Temple together. When we got there, I didn't know that my Mom was suppose to be early there to help and I had not told her what time to be there. I was an emotional wreck! I was so worried she wouldn't be there to help me get ready, just when I was about to go outside to find her, she came running down to me and all I could do was cry again! Richelle met up with us and we went into the bride's room where I felt just like a princess. Andrew and I spent some time together in the Celestial room until everyone was there and they came and got us. He looked so happy (despite having a sinus infection.)
Elder Richard G. Scott (Uncle Richard) married us and gave us some council we will never forget. We kissed and exchanged rings and I was now Vicki Lee Jones Scott!
After the ceremony and hugs (and tears), we went around temple square and took tons of fun pictures. The photographer had Andrew pick me up and carry me across main street, boy was that a surprise!
After the pictures we went to Chuck a Rama for the wedding breakfast. The food was delicious the company was great but best of all my new Husband was Gorgeous!
The wedding reception was up in Henefer. The Chapel was decorated in peach and yellow. Gerber daisies (my favorite!) were everywhere. I couldn't tell you what the refreshments were, but I do remember all the people that came to wish us good luck on our journey!
We went on our Honeymoon to Lake Tahoe. Looking back we should have listened to Andrew's family that are world traveler's "That one day he would make it up to me!" We went 4 wheeling in the SUV they made us rent and had a lot of fun in the Honeymoon Suite.......

Your blog is coming along. I like that you started at the very beginning. I don't think I could do that. It would take me forever. Plus, I do like scrapbooking so I have books for the kids. Keep up the good work and I will be checking in to get the updates on your life.
